Erythritol Project Introduction

Starch milk adjustment: Starch milk must be adjusted with the proper DS, PH, and temperature. Dry starch is another possible source material. To produce starch milk, combine the required amount of water with dry starch. The range for the milk's DS value is (DS=28%-32%). The modified starch milk then moves on to the following stage for more processing.


Liquefaction: Enzymes are added during liquefaction, creating a slurry of starch for subsequent processing. The liquefaction enzyme helps the starch milk get delivered to the jet cooker. To improve the liquefaction effect, the procedure is improved by two ejections. The material needs to cool after liquefaction. After cooling in a flash tank, the material is moved on to the following stage for additional processing.


Saccharification: Using saccharification, the necessary DE value can be obtained. With the help of an enzyme, the syrup modifies its internal structure and turns into glucose. The required DE value is attained after a certain period of time. The glucose is then cooled in a flash tank. Finally, the glucose moves on to the decolorization and filtration stage to obtain a greater impurity level.


Filtration and decolorization: Protein and other contaminants can be found in the generated glucose. Have the coloured ion that must be removed as well in order to obtain the desired substance. Protein and contaminants are eliminated during filtration. The colored impurities are then removed using activated carbon. The filter will eliminate the activated carbon after decolorization. The following step involves an ion exchange system and additional processing for the filtered glucose.


Continuous ion exchange: The contaminants that were not removed during the previous processes are combined in the filtered glucose. A resin that separates the mixed impurities ion from the glucose is placed inside the ion exchange system. Cations and anions can be found in resin. Based on their chemical basis, these two ions draw mixed impurity ions. The glucose attains a high level of purity in this manner. The glucose then moves on to the following phase.


Fermentation: Glucose can have its internal structure altered through fermentation. For the fermentation process to occur, the cultivated seed, nutrients, and appropriate temperature are required. The mash will get fermented after a certain amount of time. The fermented substance then moves on to the following step for evaporation.


Evaporation & crystallization: To obtain the appropriate DS value for crystallisation, the fermented mash is concentrated in an evaporator. Erythritol crystals are created through crystallisation, which also keeps the specific time constant. The next step for the developed crystal is crystal separation and drying.


Separation and drying: Erythritol and mother liquor are obtained through separation. The erythritol was then delivered to be dried. Suitable erythritol products will be created after drying.
