Maltitol Project Introduction

Starch milk adjustment: Starch milk from the starch workshop is adjusted to the proper PH, temperature, and DS range of 28-32%. Alternately, combine dry starch and water, then modify to meet the requirements in the next step.


Liquefaction: Using a jet cooker and a liquefaction enzyme, starch milk is liquefied. For the best liquefaction effect, ejection must occur twice. The material is transported to the following section after liquefaction and cooling in the flash tank.


saccharification: The saccharification tank receives the liquefied syrup. An enzyme is used to complete the process. The target DE value is attained following a specific amount of reaction time. The maltose is then transferred to the flash tank to cool before moving on to the next phase.


Filtration and decolorization: Enter the decolorization filtration system after passing the maltose through the filter to remove the protein and other contaminants. Activated carbon must be used for decolorization at the proper temperature. The filter will eliminate the activated carbon after decolorization. The subsequent section receives the filtered maltose.


Continuous ion exchange: To achieve pure and high-quality maltose, the maltose enters the continuous ion exchange system where the mixed impurity ions are removed using cation and anion resin.


Hydrogenation reaction: Following burdening, the hydrogenation reaction is initiated by the addition of high pressure hydrogen to the qualified maltose inside the reactor. Crude maltitol is produced through the reaction from the initial state of maltose. The raw maltitol is transferred to the sedimentation tank after being flash-cooled.


Precipitation and filtration: Following precipitation, the raw maltitol flows through the filter to recover the little nickel catalyst that is still present, and it is then recycled into the front portion. The refinery section receives the filtered crude maltitol.


Decolorization/filtration: The crude maltitol enters the decolorization and filtration system. Activated carbon must be used for decolorization at the proper temperature. The filter will eliminate the activated carbon after decolorization. Then the filtered maltitol is delivered to the next stage.


Continuous ion exchange: The maltitol enters the continuous ion exchange system to be purified and of the highest quality by removing the mixed impurity ions present through the cation and anion resin.


Evaporation: To achieve the necessary DS value for the maltitol product, the refined maltitol is concentrated in the evaporator system after passing through the safety filter.
