Lactic Acid Project Introduction

Continuous elimination & fermentation: Elimination and batching are used to send the qualified glucose to the fermentation tank. After batching and a continuous elimination system, the qualified glucose fermented for a specific period. After that, the qualified fermentation mash is produced. Then the fermentation mash goes to the next stage for further process.


Filtration: Filtration is used to remove mycelium and other impurities. The fermentation mash contains mycelium and some other contaminants that need to remove before the move to the next stage. After the filtration, the qualified fermentation mash was obtained. The qualified filtered fermentation mash goes through the following process.


Concentration: The filtered fermentation mash required the appropriate concentration for the next section. The qualified mash enters the concentration system. After a certain, the proper concentration is obtained. Then the material goes to the next section for further processing.


Acidification: Acidification uses to get crude lactic acid. The reaction happens between calcium lactate and H2SO4 to get lactic acid and gypsum. The gypsum is filtered through a belt vacuum filter and then sold to gypsum producers or the market. Crude lactic acid has mixed ion impurities and other excessive contaminants that need removal. Then the crude lactic acid goes to the next stage for refining and further processing.


Continuous ion exchange: Continuous ion exchange system removes the mixed ion impurities, decolorization, deodorization, and desalination. The ion exchange system removes ions and other excessive substances from crude lactic acid that is responsible for odor and color. Then the ion exchange system removes the mixed ion impurities to get high-quality lactic acid. The ion exchange system is filled with resin. The resin has cations and anions that attract the impurities ion based on their chemical behavior. In this way, the lactic acid reaches a high level of impurity and goes to the next stage for further process.


Membrane filtration: Membrane filtration is used to remove small impurities. The clean lactic acid solution goes to the membrane filtration combination system, removing the small impurities. Then the refined lactic acid was obtained. Then the lactic acid goes to the next section.


Concentration & purification: Evaporator concentrates the refined lactic acid. Purification us to obtain the final purified lactic acid. After concentration and purification, the final lactic acid product is obtained.
